All sporting events must be played on the date and site scheduled unless otherwise specified. Sporting events postponed by more than 12 hours or rescheduled will constitute no action.

For betting purposes, the winner of an event will be determined on the date of the event's conclusion. We do not recognize suspended games, protests, scoring amendments, result reversals or overturned decisions.

Since transmission of data over the Internet is beyond our control, occasionally a bet submitted does not reach us. For you to be assured your bet was submitted successfully, always click the "Pending Wagers" button to see if your bet is listed. If the bet is not in your Pending Wagers, click the "Display Current Pending and Processed Wagers" button at the top of the Pending Wagers page. If the bet is not in your Pending Wagers, there is no bet.

When you submit a bet and receive an error, do not try to resubmit the bet until you check your Pending Wagers. The bet may have gone in. Following this procedure will prevent double betting. If you have questions regarding a bet you placed, call us BEFORE the event begins.

NBA Player Prop Rule:
Player to Score the Most Points Props will only consider the players listed for the specific day's games. In case of a tie between 2 or more players the wager is no actioned.

Hockey

NHL: At least 55 minutes of play needed for bet to have action. Overtime counts.

Overtime: For wagering on games in the National Hockey League, the final score includes overtime.

For wagering purposes, winners and losers are determined by the final score, provided that the game has gone the minimum time as specified above.

Regardless of the number of goals scored during the shootout portion of overtime, the final score recorded for the game will give the winning team one more goal than the score at the end of regulation time.

Personal Player Stats during an NHL Shootout are not taken into account for certain proposition bets for eg.: Player Total Shot on Goals, Player Total Points, Player Total Goals.

NHL Live Lines: Gambling.net NHL Game rules apply to the NHL Live line. At least 55 minutes of play needed for bet to have action. Overtime counts.

Las Vegas rules, regulations, payoffs and wager types apply where not covered herein.

Betting on hockey is done by laying or taking goals and money odds. The minus (-) indicates the favorite; the plus (+) indicates the underdog.

Example: [Bruins + 1/2 Even] [Kings - 1/2 -1.40]. You must lay 1/2 goal and $140 to win $100 on the Kings. You must bet $100 and take 1/2 goal to win $100 on the Bruins.

Ice Hockey 3-Way Line:
The game is official (action) after 55 minutes of play; NHL 3 way and European Ice Hockey is settled without overtime (60 minutes of play)(Away/Home/Draw). This wagering option does NOT include overtime or shootouts.

Baseball

Major League Baseball games are official after 5 innings of play, or 4.5 innings if the home team is leading. If a game is subsequently called or suspended, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning unless the home team ties the score or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning in which the game was suspended. Then the winner will be determined by the score at the time the game is called. (This rule holds for betting purposes even if the game is suspended and /or completed on a different day than the event began). The maximum bet that can be placed on a baseball game to be competed the next day is $500. The overnight bet limits will be in effect until at least 10 a.m. Eastern time the day of the games.

When wagering on total runs or run lines, the game must go the regulation 9 innings, or 8.5 innings if the home team is leading, otherwise it will constitute a "No Action" wager, and all money will be credited accordingly.

Baseball wagers are accepted as "Listed". In the event of a pitching change prior to the game, all wagers on the game with said listed pitchers are considered "No Action". All wagers will be refunded to the customers account. Starting Pitchers must throw at least one pitch for wager to be deemed "Action". Each team's starting pitcher is defined for betting purposes as the pitcher that throws the first pitch.

Any and all baseball series wagers must have all 3 games played by the end of a specified date for the wager to have action. If all 3 games are not played by that specified date then all wagers are NO ACTION, regardless if one team has 2 wins. All 3 games must be official by Las Vegas Gaming Standards (see our rules regarding baseball wagers and what constitutes an official result).

NOTE: Each team's starting pitcher is defined for betting purposes as the pitcher that throws the first pitch.

NOTE: If we provide a baseball series price for a series that has 4 games, for grading purposes, the wager is based on the initial 3 games.

All baseball props must go the full 9 (8, if the Home Team is Winning) innings unless otherwise stated. They also must start the listed pitchers.

In Baseball, all games that go at least the full 9 innings and finish tied as a result of a suspension of play, shall be graded as a push on all money line bets. However, all run line and total bets will have action. Note that this is an extremely rare occurrence. In the event of a change in Las Vegas rules, Gambling.net will adhere to the decision set forth in Las Vegas.

First Five Innings Bets are listed pitchers and the game must go a Full 5 Innings to have action regardless if the game is called or postponed after the 5th Inning.

Team to Score First Props are listed pitchers and will be graded as soon as the first team scores and once the home team has at least a chance to bat. If the home team scores first, that bet will be graded at that time and bets are action regardless of game suspension or postponement. If the visiting team scores first the bet will be graded once the home team has completed their at bat.

Will there be a Score in the First Inning Props are listed pitchers and will be graded as soon as the First Inning ends, all bet are action regardless of game suspension or postponement, as long as the First Inning is completed.

Total Runs+Hits+Error Props are listed pitchers and the game must go a full 8.5 Innings for bets to have action.

In-Game Betting Bets games must go a full 8.5 Innings for bets to have action.

Baseball Player and Pitcher Props are listed pitchers. The game must go a full 8.5 Innings for bets to have action. If there is a pitching change, all player props for that game will be closed immediately and when the game starts and its confirmed that a different pitcher threw out the first pitch other than the listed pitcher, those props will be graded No Action.

Auto Racing

When placing a bet on the outright winner of a race, your driver must start the race for the bet to have action. Both drivers in a match-up bet must start the race for the bet to have action. In league championship betting, a driver must race in at least one race during the season for your bet to have action. The start of any motor race is defined as the signal to start the warm-up lap.

The official winner at the conclusion of the race shall be the winner for betting purposes.

The race must complete the scheduled number of laps and/or distance for specific proposition bets (pertaining to number of laps and/or distance) to have action; match-ups, finishing position props and future bets will have action regardless. Races must be run within one week of the scheduled date for your bet to have action.

Boxing/MMA

The official stopping of a round before the sounding of the bell does not constitute a full round. A full round is only considered for wagering purposes when the bell sounds signifying the end of said round. Boxing/MMA match must take place within 2 months of the specified date for your bet to be deemed "Action".

In the event of a draw, moneys on the fight itself will be refunded. However, specific fight propositions must come as stated, such as a draw, either fighter by knockout or decision or a specific round knockout etc. Rounds propositions will be governed by the rules posted on our wagering sheets or as stated at the time of the wager. In the event that either fighter does not make the required weight but the bout goes on, the following stipulations apply: When the bell sounds for the first round, the bout will be considered official, regardless of the scheduled length or title. The bout must have the original scheduled length to have action on a rounds proposition.

Cricket

If a match is shortened for any reason, bets will be governed by the official competition rules.

If a match results in a tie, bets will be no action.

Golf

For tournament match-up betting, both players listed in the match-up must tee-off for your bet to be deemed 'Action'. The player with the most completed holes wins. If the players complete the same number of holes, then the player with the lowest score wins. If the players are still tied then the wager shall be deemed 'no-action' and all monies will be refunded. If both golfers in a match-up are in a playoff, the winner of play-off wins the match-up.

Should a tournament be shortened, or otherwise affected, due to weather conditions the official result will be used when settling, regardless of the number or rounds played. However, should there be no further play after a bet is struck that bet will be void.

Single day match-ups are wagers on the particular day's 18-holes. Single Day match-ups do not include holes played as part of a completion from the previous day's round or playoff holes considered part of the overall tournament score. Should a day's round be shortened, or otherwise affected, due to weather conditions and the round is continued the next day, the full 18 holes shall be considered in determining the outcome of the bet even if they are played over two days. Both golfers must tee off for action. If both players end the 18 holes in a tie, the money line wagers shall be refunded and stroke line wagers will be deemed 'Action'.

For single round-single player propositions, all 18 holes must be completed. For single round betting on match play tournaments, the players/team must tee off for action. 18 holes do not necessarily need to be played.

Golf Odds to Win: Wagers on a golfer who does not play in the tournament are graded as 'no-action' and all monies refunded (unless otherwise specified). A golfer is deemed to have played once he or she has teed off. In the event of a player withdrawing after having teed off, wagers on that player will be lost.

Las Vegas Rules apply for any rules not mentioned here.

Stroke Line Betting: In golf the lower score wins. If you bet (-1/2) stroke, your golfer must shoot 1 or more shots lower than the opponent. If you bet (+1/2) your golfer must shoot the same score or a lower score than the opponent. Example: should you bet Singh (-1/2) vs. Mickelson and Singh shoots 69, Mickelson 70, then Singh (-1/2) is the winner. If Singh shoots 69 and Mickelson shoots 69, then Mickelson (+1/2) is the winner.

Rules for Finishing Top 3: In the case of a tie or multiple players finishing in the top 3 position, wagers will be paid using our Dead Heat Rule.

Horse Racing

All bets are action regardless of injuries, scratches, non-starts, incomplete finishes or any other situation where placement cannot be determined.

Rugby

If a match is abandoned or postponed (not played on the scheduled day) all bets are no action, except bets on the first try scorer if a try has been scored prior to abandonment.

If a venue is changed, bets will stand unless the game is to be played at the original away team's ground in which case all bets will be no action.

Bets taken on first try scorer will be no action if the player does not take part in the game or comes on after a try has already been scored.

Soccer (European Football)

Maximum allowable parlay for soccer is 3-team. Maximum parlay wager is $25.

All soccer bets will be settled on 90 minutes of play. This includes any time added by the referee in respect of injuries and other stoppages. In major knock-out tournaments, for example the latter stages of the World Cup, where a winner is required in order to progress to the next leg, bets are still settled on 90 minutes of play. Extra Time, Golden Goals and Penalty Shoot-Outs do not count.

Match details, such as dates and kick-off times, displayed on the website are for guidance only and may be amended or taken off the board at any time. Soccer bets will have no-action if the match is officially postponed with no make-up date announced or if the make-up date is more than 48 hours away.

If a match is abandoned and/or suspended all bets shall be void unless the relevant wagering option has already been decided. For example, a bet on the 'First Goal Scorer' will stand if a goal has already been scored.

Where a venue is changed, bets will stand unless the game is to be played at the original away team's ground in which case all bets will be voided.

For soccer wagering, in order to place your bet correctly you must predict the result of at least one game choosing either:

Should you parlay multiple games together, you must win all games in the parlay in order to collect any winnings.

Bets taken on 'Half Time Results' will be settled on 45 minutes of the first half plus any added injury time or stoppage time.

Bets taken on 'First Goal Scorer' will be void if the player does not take part in the game or enters the game after a goal has already been scored.

Bets taken on 'Last Goal Scorer' will be void if the player does not play or enters the game as a substitute.

Bets taken on 'Draw No Bet' must predict which team wins the match in regular time (90 minutes plus any time added by the referee in respect of injuries and other stoppages). In the event of the match ending in a draw (tie), bets will have 'no action'.

Future bets placed on 'Odds to Win' must predict the team winning the division, league or any other tournament and will be paid as soon as the said division, league or tournament has finished.

Bets taken on 'Correct Score' must predict the match score at the end of regular time (90 minutes plus any time added by the referee in respect of injuries and other stoppages).

Bets taken on 'Double Chance' must predict the outcome of the match based on three selections, either:

Bets taken on 'Half with Most Goals' must predict which half has most goals scored by either team in regular time (90 minutes plus any time added by the referee in respect of injuries and other stoppages).

When betting on 'Soccer Special Props' or 'Match Specials' you are required to predict the team or teams to win the game, event, tournament, competitions, match-up or any other situation within the game. Any cancelled or postponed game will cause the entire event to have 'no action'. Soccer Specials will be settled on 90 minutes of play.

Beach Soccer is based on 36 minutes of play (3 periods of 12 minutes) followed by extra periods and penalty shots, if necessary, to decide who wins the match. Bets are graded on normal regulation time (36 minutes plus any time added by the referee in respect of injuries and other stoppages). Extra Time and Penalty Shoot-Outs do not count for wagering purposes.

Tennis

For tennis Match Betting, two full sets must be completed for wagers to stand. If fewer than two sets are completed all wagers will be considered no action.

All bets will stand regardless of any of the following taking place:

  1. change of playing surface
  2. change of venue
  3. change from indoor court to outdoor court or vice versa
  4. match is delayed/postponed to Later Date due to inclement weather.

For tennis Set Betting, if the match does not start or is incomplete due to either players' incapacity or disqualification, then all bets are no action.

Other Sports

All other events that involve a scheduled length of play or time limit must play to their conclusion or have five minutes or less of the scheduled playing time remaining when the contest concludes to be considered official for betting purposes.

Bet Type and Rules

Straight Wager Lines

A line is the set of rules used to calculate results and payouts of straight wagers. The four standard line types are listed below.

Point Spreads

A Point Spread bet is placed on one team to win against another, subject to the Point Spread.

The favorite is indicated by the minus sign "-" and the underdog is indicated by the plus sign "+". To determine the winner for betting purposes, the Point Spread is added to the final score of the team you bet on. Point Spread rules are as follows:

For example, you wager on Miami -7 to beat Buffalo +7. The following table shows possible wager results on three final scores.

Actual Final Score Final Score with
Point Spread applied
Bet Result
Miami 21 Buffalo 19 Miami 14 Buffalo 19 Loss
Miami 26 Buffalo 19 Miami 19 Buffalo 19 Tie
Miami 27 Buffalo 19 Miami 20 Buffalo 19 Win

Money Lines

Money Lines are the simplest form of sports bets. The team you bet on just has to win the game. Your bet is not subject to a point spread. The amount you may win is determined by the money line. Money Line rules are as follows:

For example, you bet on Miami -160 to beat Buffalo +260. You must bet $160 to win $100 if Miami wins the game. Your friend bets on Buffalo. Your friend must bet $100 to win $260 if Buffalo wins. The following table displays the results of four different winning Money Line bets.

Winner Money Line Bet Amount on Winner Payout
(including bet amount)
Miami -160 $ 80 $ 130
Miami -160 $ 160 $ 260
Buffalo +260 $ 100 $ 360
Buffalo +260 $ 50 $ 180

Totals

Totals are also known as over / under bets. You bet that the actual combined total score of both teams will be over or under the number displayed in your bet. The winning team is irrelevant to this bet. Totals rules are as follows:

For example, the current Totals line on the Miami-Buffalo game is Over 35 / Under 35. You bet on the Over and your friend bets on the Under. The following table displays the bet results based on three different game outcomes.

Final Score Combined Score You Your Friend
Miami 21 Buffalo 19 40 Win Loss
Miami 21 Buffalo 14 35 Tie Tie
Miami 21 Buffalo 4 25 Loss Win

European Prices

European Prices are similar to Money Lines. We display them in decimal format and use two formulas to calculate payouts.

European Prices above 1.0

(Wager Amount) x (European Price) = Total Payout

European Prices below 1.0

(Wager Amount) x (European Price) + Wager Amount = Total Payout

For example, you bet $100 on Manchester City 2.40 to beat Arsenal 0.60. If Manchester City wins, you win $240. Your friend bets $100 on Arsenal. If Arsenal wins, your friend wins $160. The following table displays the results of four different winning European Price bets.

Winner Bet Amount on Winner European Price Payout
(including bet amount)
Manchester City $20 2.40 $48
Manchester City $100 2.40 $240
Arsenal $20 0.60 $32
Arsenal $100 0.60 $160

Conversion

If you prefer Money Lines to European Prices or vice versa, you can convert the line to your preferred type.

Use this formula if the Money Line has a minus sign "-".

European Price = (100 / (Money Line * -1)) + 1

Use this formula if the Money Line has a plus sign "+".

European Price = (Money Line / 100)+1

The following table displays conversions of Money Lines to European Prices.

Money Line European Price Payout per $100 Bet (including bet amount)
+140 2.40 $ 240
-200 1.50 $ 150
+160 2.60 $ 260

European Prices do not always convert evenly into Money Lines since Money Lines are based on whole numbers.

Buy Points

Buy Points allows you to move the point spread in your favor by paying a surcharge. You can only buy points on football and basketball point spreads and totals.

You can normally buy an extra 1/2 point by laying -120 instead of the standard -110.

Buying points on or off key points or magic numbers is more expensive. Three is usually the key point in football. Although there are no standard key points in basketball, we may set key points on certain games.

After you buy a point and place your bet, check your betting ticket to see the new price on the event.

For example, Miami plays Buffalo. Miami is favored by 4.5 points. You want to adjust the line in your favor by bringing the Miami line down to -2. You can do this for an additional 70 cents. This means you will have to bet $180 to win $100. The following table shows the incremental cost of various point purchases including purchases on and off Key Points.

Miami Point Spread Buy Points Surcharge on this Game
Posted Line -4.5 standard -110
-4.5 to -4.0 10¢ or -120
-4.0 to -3.5 10¢ or -130
-3.5 to -3.0 20¢ or -150
-3.0 to -2.5 20¢ or -170
-2.5 to -2.0 10¢ or -180

Special Lines

The following special lines are available to offer increased flexibility and potential payouts.

Rules for PROSPECTIVE Wagers

Events classified as PROSPECTIVE will be labeled as such on our website. Due to the advanced posting of the lines event date and time are subject to fluctuation and may be amended or taken off the board at any time.

Quarter

Quarter lines allow you to bet on the first, second, third and fourth quarter of basketball and football games. Quarter lines are generally posted at the end of the previous quarter. Quarter betting rules are as follows:

Half-time

Half-time lines allow you to bet on the first or second half of basketball and football games. Half-time betting rules are as follows:

$100,000 Challenge

$100,000 Challenge is an NFL and NCAA football wager on 13 teams from our selection of $100,000 Challenge listed games. You bet $25 and if all teams you select win against the spread, you win the ultimate handicapping prize, $100,000 in cash. A tie or no action on any single event in your selection means the entire wager loses.

Up to two $100,000 cash prizes are available to be won each week. If no one selects 13 teams who win against the spread, no one wins the cash prize. If more than two people select 13 teams who win against the spread, then all winners evenly divide the available cash prizes.

Parlays

Parlays are wagers on two or more teams in no particular order where all selections must win for the wager to win. Parlay rules are as follows:

Parlay Payouts

The following parlay payout table is valid if all selections within the parlay are based on the standard point spread or totals line of -110 (bet $110 to win $100).

Number of Teams Odds
2 13:5
3 6:1
4 10:1
5 20:1
6 40:1
7 75:1
8 150:1
9 300:1
10 700:1
11 1100:1
12 1800:1

To calculate odds for parlays that use money lines other than the standard -110, you should convert the money line to a European price. Then calculate the parlay payout odds by multiplying the European prices of each event together.

For example, let's say you bet on Arsenal 2.5, Manchester 1.7 and Liverpool 2.1. A parlay of all three teams would pay 2.5 x 1.7 x 2.1 = 8.93. If your bet amount is $100 then the payoff would be $100 x 8.93 = $893 (this includes your original stake, so your winnings are $893 - $100 = $793).

Progressive Parlays

A Progressive Parlay is a wager on four to twelve events to win. Even if some of the events in your Progressive Parlay lose, you may still win your wager. Progressive Parlays are accepted only on the Point Spread, not on the Money Line or Totals. Progressive Parlay rules are as follows:

Progressive Parlay Payouts

Each type of Progressive Parlay uses different odds to pay out winning wagers.

All Teams
Win
1 Team
Loses
2 Teams
Lose
3 Teams

4 Teams 5:1 1:1 -- --
5 Teams 11:1 2:1 -- --

11 Teams 400:1 60:1 5:1 1:1
12 Teams 900:1 80:1 10:1 3:1

The parlay payout table above is valid if all selections within the Progressive Parlay are based on the standard point spread line of -110 (bet $110 to win $100). A "--" in the table above indicates a losing parlay. Payout odds are subject to change without prior notice.

Teasers

A teaser is a parlay in which you take more points or lay fewer points than the line, thus adjusting the point spread in your favor. However your payout odds are reduced when you do this. Teaser rules are as follows:

An example of a teaser is as follows:

Let's say you wish to choose three football teams: Denver -7, New York -3 and Chicago +15. The payout of the wager is dependent upon how many points you wish to receive. Let's say you choose a 3 team 7 point teaser. Looking at the chart above, this wager is listed as 10/12, which means you will win $10 for every $12 that you wager. The point spreads are adjusted as follows:

If all of the three teams win against the adjusted spread, you win $12 for every $10 you wager.

Basketball 4-point 4.5-point 5-point
Football 6-point 6.5-point 7-point
2-team -110 -120 -130
3-team +180 +160 +140
4-team 3/1 (+300) 5/2 (+250) 2/1 (+200)
5-team 4.5/1 4/1 3.5/1

If Bets - If Win and If Action

An If Bet allows you to increase your betting power and limit your risk by placing multiple bets on one betting ticket; each individual bet after the first bet will only have action if the previous bet in the sequence is successful. This limits your risk to the dollar amount of the first bet on your betting ticket.

An If Bet is also useful if you want to make more than one bet, but do not have adequate funds in your account to cover the second bet unless the first bet wins. An If Bet will place the second bet immediately upon success of the first bet. If Bet rules are as follows:

Two Types of If Bets

If Win
You choose the order of each bet in the series. The first bet is always placed. Each subsequent bet is placed only if the previous bet wins. If any bet in the If Win series loses, ties or is considered no action, then all subsequent bets on the betting ticket are considered no action.

If Action
You choose the order of each bet in the series. The first bet is always placed. Each subsequent bet is placed only if the previous bet is won, considered no action or is a tie game (also know as a push). If any bet in the If Action series loses, then all subsequent bets on the betting ticket are considered no action.

For example, on October 7th, you place an If Win bet on the Raiders to beat the Dolphins in their October 12th game. Then you select the Patriots to beat the Colts in their October 11th game. The game on October 12th wins and the second part of the If Bet is placed on the Patriots/Colts game with the original bet amount.

This second bet is placed even though this game started prior to the first event and already had a final result of a loss.

The first part of your If Win bet is a win but the second part is a loss.

Your If Win bet placed on October 7th is placed prior to the start time of both events so you are able to bet on both games while ensuring that your preferred bet on the Raiders game gets placed even if your second choice, the Patriots, lose.

Normally the only way this would be possible would be to expose yourself to both bets separately. An If Bet puts a restriction on your bet that says if the Raiders lose, do not place a bet on the Patriots/Colts game. This limits your risk to the first bet amount, but provides you with the opportunity to make a second bet with the original stake if your first bet is successful.

We will be offering Quarter Lines as well during the game.

Futures and Propositions

Future bets are based on the outcome of events that happen each year. Propositions are bets based on the outcome of special events. All bets are final. There will be no payouts until the conclusion of the specified season for futures or the conclusion of the specified event for propositions.

If your selection (person, team, etc.) does not participate in the event for any reason, your bet is considered a loss.

The odds we offer may change between the time you place your bet and the time the event starts; regardless, your bet is subject to the odds displayed at the time you placed your bet.

In the event of a dead heat for first place, stakes will be divided by the number of selections dead heating with the divided stake settled at full odds; remaining stake money is lost. The dead heat rule only applies to future bets. If the tie was a betting option, the dead heat rule does not apply.

For example, if there is a 3 way tie for the top scorer in a football game, your winnings are calculated by taking your stake, dividing it by 3, and multiplying that amount by the odds on your betting ticket.
